New website and stills

A friend has been promising to make me a website for the last 9 months, and apparently it's going to be finished very soon. In the mean time I've quickly knocked up a site with some stills from my current project, if anyone's interested.

I really loved the shot on the roof with the chimney looking things, for Anamnesis. Not sure why but it really grabbed me. It would be an awesome location for a shot.

Yep, the last two were mighty pretty. Filming on rooftops is SO clich? though.

While I'm certainly not trying to defend us from criticism of being cliched (which we certainly are), the final sequence atop the tower was not actually inspired by movie lore (Bad guys have always lived in towers, from 'Metropolis' to 'I, Robot') but by the biblical story of the tower at babel. Unfortunately I only realised the other day that the scene in which the reference to the tower at babel is made was cut from an early draft, and although I intended to work it into another scene later on, I forgot. Oh well, at least it does look cool.

The production stills were nice to look at very good job there, cant wait for the website to be up. was the theater u got against the wall into was it an independant film theatre or was it a regular cineplex

It is an independent cinema, although it mostly plays hollywood mainstream movies. There is a large Asian population in that part of East London, and I think they also play some Bollywood films.

Getting a cinema to play your film isn't always that hard, depending on when you want it. It ended up costing us ?600 for a 160 seater auditorium because we wanted a friday night, in the height of summer. The screen would have been used to show Terminator 3 (on it's opening night) if we hadn't used it, and so the cinema manager quite rightly expected to sell out most of the theatre, hence the high price.
